USKBA Action Sports Promoter Gene Fabrikant is back!
After holding a very successful Jiu Jitsu vs Sambo event for the Boris
Talis Cup earlier this year, Promoter Fabrikant returns with an explosive
Amateur Kickboxing, Thaiboxing, San Da and Sambo event. "NIGHT OF MARTIAL ARTS - The Boris Talis Cup" will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the newly refurbished OCEANA in Brooklyn, New York.
Promoter Fabrikant is well know for his "INTERNATIONAL FIGHT NIGHT" series of events a few years back. He is also know to offer up a very entertaining event. His events include action packed bouts and entertainment provided by beautiful ring card girls, Russian dancers and some amazing performances. If you attend "NIGHT OF MARTIAL ARTS - The Boris Talis Cup", be ready for a full night of entertainment.

DISTRICT COMBAT PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST WASHINGTON DC ALL-PRO MIXED
MARTIAL ARTS EVENT |

Newly formed District Combat Productions, the brainchild of Geoff Dawson, owner and founder of Bedrock Management Company, and Jonathan Reff, Olympic Taekwondo fighter and trainer at SomaFit in DC, presents its first all-pro Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the DC Armory. The Armory is located at 2100 East Capital Street SE in Washington, DC.
Promoted as the “BATTLE AT THE NATION’S CAPITAL”, this inaugural showdown features sixteen all-pro MMA fighters representing teams from across the United States including the exciting new breakout contender and winner of two amateur titles, Taylor Dixon of Alexandria, Virginia; Howard University Alum and Muay Thai boxing legend, James "The Professor" Cook; from Rockville’s Yamasaki Academy, U.S. Army Military Police Officer Ron Foster; and Ring of Combat Lightweight Tournament Champion, Baltimore’s own James "Binky" Jones.
“The
popularity of the sport has exploded in the past few years and we’ve noticed
demand across the board from our customers,” said fight co-producer and bar
owner, Geoff Dawson. “It’s quickly becoming one of the most popular sports in
the world,” he continues.
MMA fights
showcase a wide variety of full-contact martial arts forms including Brazilian Jiu-jitsu,
submission wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, and Capoeira.
“The sport
is about skill, endurance and personal bests,” explains two-time U.S. Cup
Silver Medalist and fight co-producer, Jonathan Reff. “It’s raw, it’s real and it’s exciting to
watch.”
Match highlights include: Legendary Team Quest fighter, Zac “The Red Devil” George with a record of 15-3, takes on LA Boxing’s “fight to the finish” veteran Rick Screeton; and, from Ultimate Fighter Season 7, the undefeated (8-0) Paul Bradley defends his record against tough newcomer from Team Renzo Gracie, Rafael Sapo.
Additional fighters on the ticket include undefeated lightweight Dave Jansen; the ferocious Kyle “The Alley Cat” Baker; 6 time Grapplers Quest Champion, Dave Branch; talented newcomer with a 4-1 record (all KO or TKO’s), 24 year old Robby Houston; Renzo Gracie’s newest talent from New York, John Cholish; undefeated amateur and 2 time featherweight MMA champ, Lloyd Baldwin; the lethal KO king, Beau “Blackjack” Baker; and making a return to fighting after 7 years, multi-title winner, Buck “The Coach” Grant.
Internationally recognized Mario Yamasaki and Fernando Yamasaki of the award winning Yamasaki Academy in Rockville, Maryland, consulted on the fight ticket. In addition, Fernando Yamasaki will referee all 8 matches. Other elite talent including MMA Superstars and honored guests such as Maurice Smith and members of the Gracie Family, are scheduled to attend.

AMATEUR MARTIAL ARTS RETURNS TO NEWARK NJ, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2008 |
From the promoter... Karriem Abdallah Productions LLC presents "AMATEUR MIXED MARTIAL ARTS". Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport. The fast and explosive bouts have taken off like a rocket. Because of its viewing ability on TV and Pay Per View, this sport of combat is here to stay and growing throughout the World. BACK-ON-TRACK is a Russian reality show hosted by UFC Champions and Movie Star OLEG "The Russian Bear" TAKTAROV. Its main goal is to set former athletes 'back on track' in the world of ultimate fighting and to show that there is always a second chance for those who are willing to seek it out and take it on. Oleg Taktarov and the producers of the show have selected ten former fighters and through extensive training and selective bouts, they came up with four winners. These winners are to travel to the USA and fight on American soil against American athletes.

The United States Fight League takes mixed martial arts to a new level... one that has generated international
attention. Traveling 6,000 miles from Moscow to Ledyard, Russia will converge
on the United States in "WAR IN THE WOODS V", the battle of cage fighters, at Foxwoods Resort Casino this Saturday,
November 29, 2008 in The Fox Theater.
Led by national hero OLEG TAKTAROV, four fighters are finalists in the widely popular Russian Mixed Martial
Arts reality show, BACK-ON-TRACK. They will be fighting for their Country, their pride, and bragging rights in this international event hosted by the U.S. Fight League.
Margarita Kolmykova, Shamkhol Kerimov, Dimitry Yanish and Alecksei Vokulenko are the Russian combatants, bringing Russian style mixed martial arts to the USA.
The public has the opportunity to meet all the fighters at the U.S. Fight League weigh-ins and press conference on Friday, November 28th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at The Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino. Oleg Taktarov, former UFC Champion and Movie Star, will be on hand to greet everyone
and pose for pictures. This promises to be a fantastic pre-fight event.

"THE WARRIOR'S CUP V" PROVES THAT THIS SERIES IS QUICKLY BECOMING
THE PREMIER AMATEUR MUAY THAI EVENT IN NEW JERSEY |
On November 8, 2008, at the Weapons 9 Gym in New Brunswick, New Jersey,
USKBA Action Sports Promoters Derek Riddick, Chris Tran and Joe Pellegrino (Weapons 9), raised the bar for Amateur Muay Thai in New Jersey. With their “THE WARRIOR’S CUP V” Amateur Muay Thai event, they assembled 19 terrific bouts featuring great up and coming Muay Thai talent. The bouts were competitive and the crowd loved the action.
All the fighters and camps should be applauded for making this a memorable event. If the bouts weren’t enough for a full night’s entertainment, the spectacular Wai Kru demonstration form two of the finest Muay Thai Champions, Kru Phil Nurse and Kansak Sor Ponchit, proved to be icing on the cake. In attendance to witness all the action, was NJSACB General Counsel Nick Lembo. If anyone though that Muay Thai was dead, one wouldn’t know that from witnessing “THE WARRIOR’S CUP V”. When you see the next “Warrior’s Cup” event advertised, do yourself a favor…. Get tickets early.

From the promoter... Fight fans, this Saturday, November 8, 2008, Weapons 9 Muay Thai is pleased
to present another exciting installment of the acclaimed Warriors Cup series.
In its biggest card yet, The Warriors Cup V will showcase 19 amateur bouts, with athletes competing from top Muay Thai gyms in the tri-state area,
including North Jersey Muay Thai, Varlaro’s Gym, Sitan, Five Points, Infinite
MMA, The Wat, TSK-MMA, American Top Team, Sit Kangmongkom, Kpoz, Kru Training
Camp, Fatjo's MMA, and Champions Fitness. The event will also feature a
special sparring demonstration by two Muay Thai legends: Kansak Sor Ponchit and
the highly talented Kru Phil Nurse. Kansak is a former Lumpinee and
Rajadamnern Stadium Champion and current WBC International Lightweight Champion.
Kru Phil Nurse, no stranger to championship titles himself, is the former
European and British welterweight champion. Sanctioned by USKBA Action
Sports and New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, The Warriors Cup V is
poised to be one of New Jersey’s top amateur Muay Thai events of the year. Showtime is
6:30 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with a $25 entry fee.
