"OPEN AMATEUR COMPETITION" 

This event is open to ALL amateur athletes. Professional athletes are restricted and may not enter. There is no prize money offered.
 

Registration Fees:

$50 - Pre Registration - must be postmarked by July 31, 2006. 
$60 - Registration - must be postmarked between August 1 & August 29, 2006 (DO NOT MAIL after August 29, 2006) 
$70 - Late Registration

Byes will be determined by using the date we receive your Registration Form.

Divisions:

Open Class: Open to all AMATEURS 
Novice Class: BEGINNERS, 5 or less ring fights

FULL CONTACT KICKBOXING RULES

FC-01:   Each bout will consist of three 2-minute rounds. Rest period between rounds will be 1-minute. No draw (even) decisions.

FC-02:   All techniques above the waist. No sweeps. No boot to boot contact.

FC-03:   Spinning backfist is allowed.

FC-04:   No hitting to joints or spine or back of head.

FC-05:   Three Knockdown Rule is in effect.

FC-06:   Standing Eight Count is in effect.

FC-07:   The bell cannot save a fighter in any round.

FC-08:   Minimum Kick Requirement is eight kicks per round. Not making kicks in a round will result in a one point deduction. Kicks cannot be made up in remaining rounds.

FC-09:   Missing the Minimum Kick Requirement in three rounds will result in disqualification.

FC-10:   Scoring is on the Ten Point Must System. Ten points go to the winner of each round and nine, eight or seven points go to the runner-up of each round.

FC-11:   Judges are instructed to not give 10-10 scores. No rounds will be scored even unless there are point deductions.

FC-12:   Tournament Scoring Rules apply in the event the final decision is a draw or majority draw. In the event of a majority draw, the decision will go to the fighter given the decision by the one decisive judge. In the event of a draw, the decision will be given (in order);

    1)  to the fighter who scores the most total points for the fight.
    2)  to the fighter who receives the "overall winner" decision from a majority of the judges.

Shinguard
Dipped foam boots
Handwraps (cloth is acceptable)
Headgear (leather, no face cages or bars)
