The "USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS" Amateur Tournaments will take place Saturday, September 2, 2006. SIX Amateur World Tournaments will take place at the Rahway Recreation Center in Rahway, New Jersey USA. Tournaments will include; Amateur Full Contact kickboxing, Amateur Thaiboxing, Amateur San Da, Amateur Continuous Contact, Amateur Submission Grappling and a Martial Arts Tournament. The "USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS" Amateur Tournaments will offer "Something For Everyone"!

2006 TOURNAMENT UPDATE!
EIGHT DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE USKBA ACTION SPORTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Eight days left until the...USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Amateur Tournaments...SEPTEMBER 2, 2006...Rahway Recreation Center / Rahway, New Jersey USA.

Some developments and information:
  • There will be early weigh-ins on Friday, September 1, 2006 at the venue from 6:00 pm to10:00 pm. Additional weigh-ins will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the venue beginning at 8:00 am. The tournaments are scheduled to begin at 10:00 am. Please check with the individual Tournament Coordinators about their weigh-ins and start times.
  • Spectator Tickets will be available on Friday, September 1, 2006 (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm) and Saturday, September 2, 2006 (beginning 8:00 am) at the venue. Spectator Tickets, for the tournaments only, are $10 per person.
  • The Amateur MMA Tournament has been changed to a nighttime show. "Combat in the Cage - Adrenaline" will be a set bout card with over 20 scheduled bouts in Amateur MMA. The nighttime show will also feature championship bouts in Submission Grappling. For tickets and information, go to: www.combatinthecage.com. Separate admission to "Combat in the Cage - Adrenaline" is required.
  • If you plan on competing and have not submitte your registration forms and fees, please do so. Nothing should be mailed that would reach us after August 30th. If we have not received your registration forms and fees by August 30th, we will have no way of picking up mail from August 31st to September 2nd. Please check with the individual Tournament Coordinators regarding handling registrations after August 30th. All fees paid at the venue, MUST BE IN CASH!
  • All qualified individuals, who would like to officiate at the USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Amateur Tournaments, should contact the individual Tournament Coordinators.
  • OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT HOTEL - The Official Tournament Hotel for the USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Amateur Tournaments, is the Fairfield Inn & Suites (Marriott) at Woodbridge, located at 1295 Route 1 South in Avenel, New Jersey. A limited amount of discounted rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. The special USKBA Tournament rate is $85 a night for up to 4 people in a room. To book your rooms, call 732-396-9700 and mention Rate Code: USKP. The Fairfield Inn & Suites will also provide FREE shuttle service to and from Newark Liberty International Airport and to and from the venue (please schedule with front desk). Also included is a FREE Continental Breakfast and use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi facilities. WE HAD COMPUTER AND SERVER PROBLEMS... BUT NOW WE'RE BACK!

The USKBA ACTION SPORTS Website has been dormant for the past week. This was not due to our laziness, but to problems with our computers and servers. We're back up and running and we'll be playing catch-up. We have many events that occurred during the past two weeks that we need to report on. This includes a spectacular trip to Romania and Professional and Amateur MMA events. We also have to bring everyone up to date on our USKBA ACTION SPORTS 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Amateur Tournaments, scheduled for September 2, 2006 at the Rahway Recreation Center in Rahway, New Jersey USA. If you haven't sent in your Registration Forms, do so as soon as possible in order for us to attempt to make certain there are other competitors in your division. We'll be back with more!

USKBA ACTION SPORTS Promoter Ed Hsu (GHK Promotions) will be holding his USKBA Amateur MMA "GENESIS RANKED" event "COMBAT IN THE CAGE - BATTLE AT THE PIER" at the Music Pier in Ocean City, New Jersey this Saturday, August 19, 2006. "COMBAT IN THE CAGE - BATTLE AT THE PIER" is sanctioned by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, Commissioner Larry Hazzard and by USKBA ACTION SPORTS.

Ring of Combat Female Welterweight Champion LAURA D'AUGUSTE (Team Tiger Schulmann) will be defending her title against MEGUMI YABUSHITA (Japanese Champion) and the Ring of Combat Super Welterweight Championship Title is up for grabs as ISRAEL GOMES (Muay Thai Dream Team) takes on ADRIANO "Nasal" de LIMA PEREIRA (Memphis BJJ/Brazilian Top Team). USKBA ACTION SPORTS Promoters Bruce and Lucinda Marshall (Trilogy/Black Belt Productions) will be holding the 17th installment of their COMBAT ZONE Professional MMA series on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Club Lido in Revere, Massachusetts. "COMBAT ZONE 17 - TAKE CONTROL" will be sanctioned by USKBA ACTION SPORTS. Joe Esposito will be on hand to supervise the event.
